Electronic Poker
Video poker is typically played with a machine, which displays the player’s cards on a video monitor. Combining elements of poker and one armed bandits, this form poker is one of the scant games in the gambling den where you could really have a realistic expectation of profiting, as opposed to relying on the lady luck of slot machines or roulette.
The gambler puts a bet and the video poker machine deals out five cards from a standard 52-card deck. The player then has 1 opportunity to hold or abandon any number of unneeded cards, and is given an equal number of new cards from the pack.
After the new cards are dealt the winnings are calculated depending on the 5-card poker hand. The pay out depends on the given type of game begin bet on.
There are a bunch of video poker variants, including: Deuces Wild, Jacks or Better and Bonus Poker.
The ability to betting the game is knowing which cards to throw away.
The aim being to the abandon cards in a way that provides you the biggest possible chance of succeeding. The best plan will change with the various pay out schedules.
